thanks also from me, I sailed as R/O on 'Aulica' in 1974/75. Only steamer I sailed on in over 12 years at sea. We did 3 months in the Baltic and 3 months in the Caribbean - quite a nice combination.

Sailed on Aulica as Dk/Storekeeper.from26/5/62 until13/2/63
paid off and joined San Conrado,in Singapore .

Sailed on the Aulica as a Nav Apprentice in 1976.

I joined her at Cardiff Dry Docks, and then sailed around the UK and Europe for the next 3 or 4 months. I believe there was a threat of strikes by UK crew, so we (along with many other UK registered vessels) were sent off to the Americas. I remember after sailing about the Caribbean and South America, I ended up with sunburn whilst anchored in the Thames, during the heat wave of that year!
