three mystery pics [Archive]

I have three pictures of USN ships.
Hull Mark Nrs 965, 146 and 23.
I think 1980s ... Any ideas before I post them?

USN hull numbers and names are easy to find if you have the type of ship as well as the hull number. e.g. DD-965 (destroyer) or FF-965 (frigate) What type of warship do they look like, please ?

I wouldn't know a cruiser from a destroyer, so
here is a thumbnail collection; in fact I am not
at all positive they are US, which is why I hesitate.

These seem to be:

DD 965 - Spraunce Class destroyer USN Kinkaid

T-AO 146 - Neosho Class oiler Kawishini

CG 23 - Leahy Class guided missile cruiser USN Halsey

But I believe the fleet oiler is T-AO 146 spelt Kawishiwi ????????
