Looking for any information on the "Stone Marshall", dredged the North Sea and our berth was the old Woolwich Arsenal jetty in the Thames.
I believe that she may have been an ex Hoveringham vessel.

She was th ex 'Needwood' of Hoveringhams. Sold to Dutch or Belgian interests and worked out of Vlissingen (Flushing) but that would have been in the 70's, no doubt broken up by now.

To Jacktar1, I took the Needwood out on her trials from Barclay Curles shipyard on the Clyde. We stayed for 6 weeks in the George Hotel while each day going through all the new machinery. She had self tentioning winches by Clarke Chapman to keep her alongside with the high rise & fall of the Thames.
The Main engines(2) were Catapillars as were The Generators.I had been the engineer abourd the survey vessel drilling in the channel to find large banks of gravel for this new ship being built. While the marine Super from France Fenick was aboard I was offered the job as 2nd eng on the Needwood.
She has since gone under the names of: Zeeland,Seal Sands and Stone Marshall.
