Guglielmo Marconi was the ships origional name. Her apperance was quite a bit more handsome before her two year refit that turned her into a rather boxy and very interesting (to say the least) cruise ship. The ship also had a sister ship, the Galileo Galilei, was also converted into a cruise ship and is probably best remembered as the Sun Vista and her fire and sinking off the Malaysian Coastline.
