Not so much a ship but a place under demolition;Southampton/s Ocean Terminal in 1983 after a pitifully short life of 33 years.
Laid up is Blue Funnel VLCC TANTALUS which has been broken up too.

I lived in a place called Netley right on Soton water in the late 70s 80s and early 90s I have fond memories of all the ships coming and going, I particually remember two tankers? that were laid up, Pacifico and Atlantico I wonder what happened to them?

I remember two sisters PACIFICO and ATLANTICO but they were B/C ,24300 tons British built in 1965/66 as COSTWOLD and BUCCLEUCH. I think they were scrapped middle 80s as KALAVRIA and VERA. is the exact answer for you?
Gp

Steve - Did my R/O training at Hamble in 1952/53 then sailed out of Southampton for some time. Remember Netley well - one cinema but several really lovely lasses! Doug H

You must have been near the section, with tower, that is left of what was a hospital in WWI.
It had its own pier where the hospital ships berthed direct.

Yes there was. When I was in the Kate we had a guy from 'dahn saff' who we called 'Netley Ned' for reasons I won't discuss LOL - let's just say we gave him a wide berth when he was drinking (*))
