RMS ANDES built 1939 at Belfast for Royal Mail Line, 26,435tns served as troopship throughout ww2 went to the breakers in 1971.

I was J/4/O then S/4/O in 1964. That's 9th and 8th Mate if you work it out.

I was an sos (R802892)working on the foredeck launches with the baggage master "JOCK" in charge of both launches at that time.(1964) )

I had the same Job with Jock from Dec 65 to Mar 66. I didn't mind the launch work, but humping all those trunks about was a pain.
