Can anyone shed any light as to the eventual fates of Brisbane Star, Scottish Star and South African Star please?

Brisbane Star 1936 1963 sold to Panama, renamed Enea.

Scottish Star (1) 1917 ex- Millais, 1938 purchased from Lamport & Holt and renamed Scottish Star, 1942 torpedoed and sunk NE of Trinidad.

Scottish Star (2) 1950 1967 trapped in closure of Suez Canal, 1970 ship abandoned to insurers.

Scottish Star (3) 1985 1988 still in service.

South Africa Star 1944 ex- USS Reaper, 1948 purchased from US and renamed South Africa Star, 1967 scrapped.

i think the last Scottish Star is still in service with Star Reefers (see: www.star-reefers.com) - part of the Siems Group..a norwegian company i think. they also have the Canterbury Star and one other i think of the former Blue Star vessels still serving in their large reefer fleet

Anyone out there know the whereabouts of Capts Peter Daniel and Ireland?

There is a Captain Peter Daniel who is an old Conway boy. He retired a few years ago - lives in Merseyside and is active in the narrow boat centre in Ellesmere Port - boatong for the disabled etc.
Wonder if it's the same chap ?

hi there when did you sail on the brisbane star? i sailed on her 63/64 on my 2nd trip as deck boy.
