Hi everyone is there now such a thing if so when is next one at Portsmouth or have they now all been placed under the IFOS banner.

Given the present size of the RN I suspect "Navy Days" will be renamed "Navy Couple of Minutes"

Have a look at www.historicdockyard.co.uk/events for Portsmouth.
I think Navy Days this year are in Plymouth in August.

I have heard that Navy Days will be held every 2 years at Devonport. The next ND will not be till next year.

Yes - 2008 is the next one.

I have been to the last three in 2006, 2004 and 2002. Each one was different abd always an interesting selection of ships to visit, especially the overseas ones.

The highlight of 2004 was being able to visit HMS Albion which was anchored off shore in the Hamoaze by landing craft which sailed into the vessels dock.

It had been planned do the same thing with HMS Bulwark in 2006 but the ship had to deploy to the Lebanon at short notice and the crew were then on leave during Navy Days so the amphibious experience wasn't availble.
