Hi.
I don't know of a photo, sorry. However, I did a search of The Times and found the Admiralty announcement of the loss of H.M. Trawler Loch Doon (29 Dec 1939). Strangely, it listed 15 names (some were misspelt), whereas on CWGC I found 17. Another curious detail is that the dates of death given on the CWGC site vary; 1 death on the 23rd, 9 on the 24th, 7 on the 25th of Dec. Also, according to the CWGC, 13 names are commemorated at the Lowestoft Naval Memorial, 2 at Chatham Naval Memorial and 2 were buried: William Seymour at Blyth Cemetery and Richard Spice at Hastings Cemetery, Sussex (a long way from Blyth). Here are the details:

Hi
Im researching my grandfather, George Thompson, who was skipper of the Loch Doon which was mined off Blyth in 1939.
The crew list already posted was extremly helpful and has added some names to my own research.
If anyone has any photographs of her it would be very much appreciated

The Loch Doon H.435, was built in 1937 by Smiths Dock, Southbank-on-Tees, and as with so many of the trawlers of that time she may have escaped the camera. If I come across a picture I'll willingly forward it.
H.101 was the post war Loch Doon.

I've found a photo of the Loch Osaig, the identical sister-ship to the Loch Doon if it is of any interest to you Janthull.

Hi
I'm trying to find a photo of the Loch Doon to add to a photo album for my father. His brother Eric Johnson was lost overboard a couple of days before the ship went down. Did you have any luck finding one?
