I worked shoreside with one Jimmy Anderson who sailed with Union Castle back in the 60s and early 70s, Does anyone remember him?

If you go to page 2 Union-Castle & open up my WINDSOR CASTLE entry, on page 1, you will find a photograph of the officers taken in 1967. Jimmy Anderson (bearded) is directly above the lady on the left. He was junior 2nd engineer at the time - maybe the same one, but I don't know where he is these days.

I was on watch with the person in the photograph, but I don't remember his name. I remember the lady though, Jean Lichfield ( Luscious Lich ) who is sitting next to my wife.

Jimmy Anderson ended up in 1979 working as a fitter in a petro-chemical plant in Southampton (ISR later Enichem) next to Esso Fawley. A lot less hair than he has in the photograph although still marginally taller than a garden gnome. He was still there in 1986 but is now probably retired. I see what Bob Preston means about the lady though.
