mv British Birch

Some time late in 1951, early 1952, at roughly the same time as the Flying Enterprise drama, a BP tanker - the British Birch - was also involved in a mid Atlantic rescue of the crew of the schooner, the Nellie Bayswater, which had capsized.
Again, in about 1958 or 59, the Birch was involved in a mid Atlantic rescue of a lone airman who had to ditch somewhere off the Azores.
The Birch was also involved in her own drama during 1960 when she broke her crankshaft off the Norwegian Coast just before I joined her. She nearly foundered off that Coast before eventually being taken in tow to the Tyne.
Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
John F.
