An Interesting Book

Some time ago I was rooting through the shelves of a shop selling new, reduced price books. These shops seem to have appeared in every shopping mall in the UK in recent years.

I came across a thin volume (64 pages) entitled "Manchester Liners, A Pictorial History by Ted Gray".

It has 65 pictures of ships and a few other pictures besides. There is a narrative of the history of the company and a list of the ship acquisitions and disposals/fates, too.

It had a price of 4.95 but was being sold, new, for about 2.50. What a bargain! It's one of those books you can sit and browse through time and again. Highly recommended.

The ISBN number is 1 8991881 05 9
