Going through a few of my father's things, I came across a slip of paper in one of his Discharge Books, on which he'd written this:
12m NE of Godrevy Is.
I believe that the vessel was bombed and sunk.
Does anyone have any information on this, or any pics or details of the vessel.

My grandfather was part of the crew on the SS Rossmore. He was killed when the ship was bombed by German planes.Apparently he abandoned ship and the was machine gunned in the water. The ship was sunk just north of Godrevy lighthouse.
