How 'dya do dat, Sparkie? I thought I started this thread. :) It doesn't matter, of course. Just curious.

Here's an update:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7283100.stm

The Times published a Roll of Honour:
TheTimes_27Apr1940_Roll_Of_Honour_HMS_Hunter.png (http://tinyurl.com/39z7e4)

The Roll of Honour includes those later found to have survived, as the Admiralty initially believed all hands to have been lost. Two of the survivors mentioned in the BBC news item, Fred Ward and John Hague, are listed.

Martin

Probably been merged by Admin or a Moderator, Martin.
In that case the earlier post controls the thread.

Thanks, Marconi. Thought it might be something like that. Sparkie's post was 29 mins before mine.

I've transcribed the names from the Roll of Honour that appeared in The Times. Out of a total of 157 names, there were:

8 officers
144 ratings
3 Maltese ratings
2 N.A.A.F.I. staff

There were subsequent reports that there were about 43 survivors, incl. Engineer Lieut. A. G. Reid and Lieut. H. Stuart-Menteth (death notices for some of the survivors had already appeared in newspapers). So, by my reckoning, that makes a total of 114 casualties.
