Hello Folks

Hi folks. Greetings from Sydney Australia! That said I am an exiled Liverpudlian with fond memories of the Mersey scene in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The river was always full of ships and the bus tour of the docks run by the local Corp every Sunday afternoon was always a great delight. I travelled many times on the ships of the old Liverpool and North Wales Co and also the Isle of Man steamers. It is funny how the internet rekindles old interests - I had a collection of postcards and handbills from the LNWSS gathered at the time - the collection has expanded dramatically since the advent of ebay! I am looking forward to spending time on this website - a ship society (I have been a member of the WSS for 40yrs) without physical meetings!
