I'm pretty sure this is a Ropner's ship - see funnel and name (ending in "pool"). Pool Shipping must have been one of those mickey mouse tax dodging subsidiaries.

She certainly was a Ropner vessel. I saw her in Avonmouth in 1960 or '61 and went on board to look at the Radio Room and for a drink with the R/O.
