I am now landlocked on the River Murray on the border between NSW and Victoria in Australia.

The nearest sea (by river) is 1000 nms away by paddle steamer - that's the transportation they used in the 1850s.

Speny 12 years of my lofe peering down on ships from a not great height. Joined the RAF and surprised my dad who ended his RN time as First Lieutenant of HMS Victory.

Will attempt to attach one of the nearest paddle steamers (wood powered and one of 15) which is berthed half a mile away.
