I have just joined the site and wish to introduce myself.
Went to sea as deck app in 1963 with BP and after five years with them joined Port Line for another most enjoyable five years. Got married came ashore to a job with the American container company Seatrain, and after four years with then I joined Clyde Port Authority. I was the Operations Manager at the Greenock Terminal for a good part of the time and retired in Aug 2006 after twenty nine years when their pension scheme clicked in, - no regrets there.
I hope that I will get in touch with some old friends through this site
