G'day from Tasmania - anyone served in Blue Funnel 1960 - 64 as a middy? If so can narrow down ships I sailed on and maybe we were shipmates! Rowie.

Deary me. Shuffling back in my BluFlu days takes me from 1959 to 1963. Years with George Hogg and Taff Pritchard and Joe Bindon and Charlie Lunny, Bren Healy, Duke Walker, Mal Winspur, Jimmy Quin, and on and on and on of "real" friends. Friends who were cut off at the knees by Blue Funnel when they attempted the dream job of a Blue Funnel Master.

Welcome aboard from East Yorkshire, Rowie.
As you can see from the responses there are a lot of active Blueys in the crew.
Let's hope you find a few you sailed with.
Plenty of Bluey gen knocking about the ship as well if you do a search.
Have a good trip.

Rowie, from Michigan, a warm welcome to Ships Nostalgia.
You'll almost certainly find old shipmates here--I think you'll find much to interest you here on SN.

Any Bluey who drops into Hobart would love to "remember" over a drink.
Cheers.
