Hi Folks

18th May 2008, 07:44
Just joined. Now working offshore, but previously worked for Marconi (remember the good old days of Radio Officers?) on Harrisons (Liverpool), Denholms vessels before joining UASC (formerly KSC) then on the Ro-Ro ferries for Denholms out of Immingham.

Live in Falkirk, Scotland and would be interested to hear from anyone who was with United Arab et al. My name is Graham McKechnie, and I was a Radio Officer.

Cheers folks.

Welcome aboard from East Yorkshire, Graham.
You will find plenty of us about and we even have our own radio room as you've no doubt found out.
No watches to keep just have fun but beware it's addictive.
When you've found your way around the ship join in and enjoy the trip.

Hi Keckers.
In your Radio Officer career did you ever come across a R/O Colin Keeble,
I am sure Colin was with Marconi. I know that Colin came from Ipswich in Suffolk, that was not his fault, I am a Scot! now resident in Australia.
I first met Colin aboard the "Lismoria" Donaldson Shipping Line approx. 1965
perhaps you may know of some site for ex R/O.
