I have just come across someone who was an Engineering Apprentice aboard the British Glory in March /April 1967 when they towed a BP tanker from Sumatra to Columbo but he cannot recall her name.

Anybody have an idea of her name? The Glory's skipper at the time was Isaac Brown.

That must have been a pain towing with a steam turbine driven vessel, could never change over to exhaust steam for auxilliaries??. I'm getting too old and it was too long ago to remember exactly what one did after dropping off the pilot and heading off for the next 20 uninterrupted days around the Cape to Durban. Live steam to??
