I've just joined this site, recommended by my brother who put in a lot more sea time than I did. I am 71 years young and was at sea as an Electrician with BP Tanker Co. for five years late 50,s to early 60,s. British Captain out of South Shields 1958 for 10 months. British Sergeant out of Falmouth 1959 for 12 months. British Swift out of Hull 1961 (second 6 months of her maiden voyage). British Captain out of South Shields for 12 months.

Your Br.Captain was bigger than mine, at the end of the voyage we took the old one for scrap.

A warm welcome to the site from the Isle of Anglesey, I guarantee you will thoroughly enjoy the SN experience!
You will certainly spark many happy memories when you have a chance to explore our threads and, who knows, you may even re-establish contact with old shipmates.
Good luck! (Thumb)
