I was her Chief Engineer from end 1968 till end 1970. She was laid up in Beaumont Texas in the late 80's and scrapped early 90's.
What information would you like?

I joined the Louisiana in Rotterdam 30 Nov '68 paid off in Belfast 21 March '69 when she went into dry dock for repairs after a hairy Atlantic crossing. I remember Maxwell, I was 19 at the time and he used to carry out cabin inspections on a Sunday morning. Good times in Spindletop (Beaumont). We once hired a cab to go to a drive in movie.
