I came across this forum today when trying to find out why the AIS Liverpool site was not working.
I have been a ship spotter at Liverpool and New Brighton since the late 50s
I love to see ships that came to Liverpool in those days and to reminise about those long lost ships, saddened by the fact that most of them have been scrapped.(Cloud)
I am still a spotter at Liverpool and have photo's that will be posted in the near future.
I have a question. one used to be able to go onto the docks by gaining a pass from the mersey docks and harbour board. Is such a pass obtainable today?
the reason I ask this is, recently I was watching the tanker Gopa being pulld into dock from the dock road and noticed a man with a camera who arrived at the dock while I was there, and I noticed that he had a ID or pass attached to him
