Hi There to everyone

I came across this site by chance after googling in my surname.

My dad, John Pratten, was a GY trawler skipper from the late 60's until the unfortunate demise of the industry. His last 'big' ship was the Ross Khartoum. After that he was pair trawling in the 'Green Valley', and then on to working out of Spain.

The ships that I can remember from my childhood when my Dad was skipper are Vivaria, Vianova, Ross Juno and the Ross Khartoum.

Sadly John passed away recently, and I would like to hear from anyone who knew or sailed with my dad.
