(Thumb) Hello I am Brian, (scousebri) I recently found this site and would like to give some details about myself, EX RIVER mersey Tugs, Royal Navy 10 years, and for thirty four years Dockmaster in the port of Liverpool , until retirement, my affiliation with ships and the sea has been all my life, and I wouldnt swop a minute of it.

Hello Brian,
As an ex dockmaster in Liverpool, I'm sure you know my mate, retired a few years ago as Alfred Dockmaster, Bernie Dillon.(known to all as Matt)
Bernie and I were shipmates on several Blue Funnel ships, and there were a few more ex China men based at Alfred, Trevor Bode and John Bird, and Billy Morris to name three.
I spent many happy hours in Bernie's office alongside the North lock, reliving our memories, until the security situation caused the Dock Board to restrict access to the locks.
Regards,
Pat
