I had many happy months as AB and Dipstick sailing on the Wellington-Sydney run.It was a great life for a 22 year old.When Pincher Martin told me in 1965,that jobs were going to be scarce for NZ seamen,I wondered what he was talking about.He turned out to be so right.Frank Earl.

Hi bert, for some reason the Kaituna was always a happy ship and always seemed to attract a happy crew. I too had many happy months sailing on her as AB. cheers maurie
