warm greetings from bobbieb

hello all,
i was looking through some old photos and i came across my class photo from gravesend sea school taken in june 1948. it wasn't called the peanut factory then but we had a few nutters around. i still have fond memories-and a few bad ones- but in all, i enjoyed it. mates included alan ravenscroft from manchester, r.talbot of hendon, f.stroud of tilbury. the grub was a trifle rough, still on rationing then, and not too much of it either!
i sailed with the cairn-thompson line on the cairnvalona and then to BT on the british fame. are there any of the lads still with us? i'm seventy-six so we must have lost a few. i'm still playing golf and fishing for trout so life has been kind to me. love to hear from any of you. the photo was taken in june of that year.
kind regards.
