Found this superb site in July's "Ships Monthly."

Browse the following url to see what I have been involved with since 2000.

http://www.lairig.freeserve.co.uk/glenline/glenfalloch/glenfalloch.htm

"Glenfalloch" may have been churned into razor blades.

Is there someone out there who knows differently?

Thanks for the welcome. The answer to the "Glenfalloch" query is negative. Trails have led hot and cold. Rumour has it she is still trading. Perhaps someone browsing the site may come up with something new. Hope springeth eternal.

The long and the short of Glenfalloch is she has probably shaved many an Oriental beard by now but there have been rumours that she is still trading between PRC and N. Korea.
Cosco refuse to come up with a concrete answer on exactly which yard Glenfalloch ended her days.

If its Cosco then they probably dont know!!, in my experience their left hand never seemed to know what the right was doing.

Sorry that my old pal GLENFALLOCH could not be brought back.Visited her at the Fairfield yard just before she went on trials and have followed her so to speak ever since. She would have been a fine example of a British general cargo ship to show off to this present generation.

Another newbie gradually finding my way around the website, and might I add what a great site it is, my congratulation to those responsible for providing such a wealth of information and countless trips down memory lane.
I though I'd post the names of the ships I was on to see if there are any old shipmates around. Londres and Brighton (Newhaven cross channel ferries), Laurentian Forest, Athelfoam, Sugar Exporter, St Essylt, El Mirlo, Hudson Point, La Orilla, Oarsman, Meeching (Tug) and the cute little Tidworth also a Tug. Hope I hear rom someone. Cheers.... JIM
