Christmas Day on board MV Clan MacLeod at Capetown December 1975.* I am very bad with names.* I can remember the C.Eng. Jack McLeod (black glasses and known as Sergt. Bilko).* I cannot for the life of me remember the Chippy, Capt + wife and 3rd Eng.
Any guesses - free drinks on me at Galeone Bar in Genoa if you guess right.

Is the third engineer Graham Henderson? Nice easy going guy who married a lass from Middlesboough way.

No unfortunatley it is not. I cant remember his name but that did not ring a bell.

Are you sure about the Chief?
Could be jack Macniel from Gourock.

I think you might be right. Thanks for that. I confused his surname with the ship. A long time has passed but what a great personality. I hope he is still alive and kicking...

Is that Albert Morris, the lecky, in the green hat?

Yep! definitely Jack MacNeil but definitely not Graham Henderson. Can't help with the rest. I must have been junior engineer in Clan Maclay (sister ship) about this time...

Could the 3rd be Ian Cowley (?), lived in the West Country?

Ian Cowley - that's right and thanks for that. He was a bit of a lad for his drink....
