Does anyone the fate of Fred Everard's Sonority? I first went aboard her in about 1955 when I was told that she was brand new. She was in Par harbour loading china clay. I was only about 14 at the time but she gave me the initial urge to go to sea. If anyone has a photo of her I would appreciate it.

Sonority was sold out of Everards fleet in 1975 and after passing through a couple of owners hands moved out to Greek waters, being broken up in Greece in 1986. Source of information - Ken Garrett's excellant WSS publication on the Everard fleet which contains some great pictures of their vessels.

Many thanks WLH, Bob S & Beryte for the info & photo. I must have been younger than I thought when I first went aboard. Always remember my Dad & I being shown round by the Mate. We had been fishing in Par harbour & just asked if we could have a look round. I don't think that would happen today, somehow.
