Try downloading the file to your computer, then opening it.

Artie,
Immediately after the name of the file will be an extension i.e name.doc or name.pdf. Can you tell us what the file extension is called and we will try and advise you.

Both files are Microsoft Office files the XLS is an Excel spread sheet and the doc is a Word file. You can open the files from most spreadsheets and word processor if the correct converted is already loaded in your software package. If not you can download Open Office Suite for free at http://download-new.com/openoffice/
