Ghost ship - unmanned car ferry washes up on lake shore near homes

NOOSA: Locals call it the ``Ghost Ship’’, a former car ferry adrift and unmanned on Lake Cooroibah.

It is the latest washed up wreck littering our waterways, joining vessels such as Noosa River’s ``Incredible Hulk’’.

As pressure mounts on the state to refloat the sunken Noosa River Plan, Lake Cooroibah locals have told how the car ferry has travelled four kilometres across the lake.

Graeme, a Lake Cooroibah resident, said he had collected a host of strange objects washed up on the shore including a drum filled with diesel, part of a sail boat and other rubbish. But the decommissioned ferry was among the weirdest items.
