It is interesting David, that the exploration cruise ships, in the true spirit of exploration seem to get into navigation difficulties. I understand that Hanseatic ran aground again, off northern Norway this year.

Yes, strangley enough when Canberra finished her 'line voyages' and became a full time cruise ship, she promptly ran aground. So there must be something in it Fred?!. I think Captan Reid was her master then, but could be wrong. Wally Vickers, her master when I served on her retired when I left the ship having told us that Canberra had ceased to be a liner after her final line voyage ending in Southampton December 1972. I stayed on board for her Christmas cruise which was a total disaster. But that is a story for another day. Another Hanseatic was the ex Shalom. David
