I have been recommended this site and I have to say that at first glance it looks fascinating. I can see that I shall visit often. I am an ex-seaman and Vindi Boy (that won't require explanation to anyone who knows). I am still interested in the sea and ships and look forward to getting involved with Ship Nostalgia.

Thank you, one and all, for your kind welcome. I live in Canberra, unfortunatly a long way from the sea but I am a crew member on a 130 year old Murray River paddle steamer which belongs to the National Museum of Australia and which steams at weekends during the summer on Lake Burley Griffin so I keep my hand in.
