Hello fellow ship lovers!
My name is Hans Guikink. I live in the Netherlands, and I am a retired merchant navy engineer (Royal Rotterdam Lloyd) After my seagoing career I had several technical jobs, a.o. Inspector for the Stork Diesel Engine Works, and Guarantee Engineer for the same firm. After that: Building Manager of some lage building complexes on land.
I am still very much interested in ships and shipping, and especially in marine machinery (lage bore engines in particular)
My age? 74...
