Has anyone got a picture of the "City of Birkenhead", the only 'city boat' that, I believe, was not a 'City'. This came about as a result of many vessels being built in Birkenhead.

Not having much joy finding a picture of CITY OF BIRKENHEAD, yet.
Details found so far, which may help locate a picture are:
CITY OF BIRKENHEAD
renamed LIBERTY TRADER 1971 when sold to China Marine Investment, Hong Kong.

Not sure what vessel that is at Birkenhead, but from the photo's that Dave has posted, you will note that she has a very distinctive 'spout' on top of the funnel.
Thanks to both you and Dave for your responses.

For yr info the "City of Birkinhead" was actually laid down as the "City of Pittsburg"
Bruce's picture looks like one of the "City of London/Hull/Pretoria/New York" class built 1947
