Plans for a 500m deep sea container terminal at Avonmouth Dock near Bristol are approved by the government.

That's a bit stupid if the Barrage is going to be built across the Bristol Channel!
Maybe it's the socialists throwing away their last pennies before they get fired!

The article is kind of mis-leading, Bristol will never be able to handle a large container ship, I know they are talking about Avonmouth but he mentions Bristol which is seven miles up the river Avon which has a very tight bend in it called the Horseshoe bend.
