I've posted a query in the Family History forum and that's produced some very useful stuff. And I didn't come here first because I thought it might all be a bit ancient for you specialists, but then again, why not?
My Great-Grandfather, on his 1920 British Naturalization certificate is named as 'Master of a Dredger'. He was Johan (John) Thuresson and lived in North Shields on Tyneside.
Do any of you experts have, or know of the existence of, a record of (presumably) TIC dredgers in the post-WW1 era? The alternative apparently is to sift through the old TIC minute books in the Tyne and Wear Archives and I cannot believe that that there's no list anywhere already. Just don't know where to look.
