Hi there everyone :
I am trying to find whatever happened to the James Bay, originally a Canadian Navy 'Bay' class minesweeper. She was decomissioned and sold for offshore oil work to Hatch & Kirk of Seattle, Chartered to Greenpeace in 1976, but after that the trail goes cold. I have tried Greenpeace, and someone has checked out the Vancouver Museum for me, but no one has come up with any answers. Was she broken up ? sunk as an artificial reef or is she still around.
A sister ship, formerly Fortune, later Edgewater Fortune, followed the same path, and is still cruising off the BC coast.
Any information most welcomed
