Saga Rose

Have just had a text from my daughter who is currently serving as second mate in Saga Pearl 2, saying the Saga Rose has gone for scrap. She was anchored in Algeceras bay hoping for a buyer. My wife and myself spent a couple of weeks aboard her last October. Very sad, she was a grand old lady, not many like her afloat these days.

The breaker is in Jianjyin, that is managed by a German shipbroker Eckhardt of Hamburg.
