Does anyone know which building slip sshe was laid down on at Devonport?
Edit: I think the middle photograph is incorrectly captioned. I think this is HMNZS New Zealand. My 'proof' is the cabins/structures sited either side of the forward superstructure on the forecastle deck erected for Jellicoes 1919 tour of NZ. This also dates the photograph.
Indeed, a lot of the maritime quest images are incorrectly captioned/dated. It's a fallacy to date the grand fleet ships using the removal of the torpedo nets as a dating data point. My only reason to mention it is people use the sites as 'authoritive' and once errors are introduced, they get passed on ad nauseaum.
