My relative Albert "Jackie" Barnes served on the Tamega in 1970. He died on board the ship on the 1st December 1970 at Pasajes, Spain aged 45. I have been told that the ship hit the quayside and Jackie fell hitting his head. I would be interested if anyone remembers Jackie or the incident and also where I could find any papers relating to this accident.
