I saw a fascinating documentary on the Empress yesterday. A scuba team found one of the engine room telegraphs final orders stuck in "full ahead" rather than "close watertight doors" which seemed to contradict the Captain's evidence at inquiry. Less convincing is the explanation of why the Storstad saw the red light of the Empress rather than the Green, but they had naval architects to forge the theory. Has anyone seen this or knows of the evidence and like to comment?
