Dryden, built in 1944 by Lithgows Ltd. Port Glasgow as Empire Haig, for Ministry of War Transport (Ellerman Wilson) 1946 to Lamport & Holt renamed Dryden.
1952 to Blue Star Line renamed Freemantle Star, 1956 Catalina Star, 1963 bareboat chartered to L&H renamed Devis, sold to L&H 1966-1969. then sold to Bry Overseas Nav Ltd renamed Mondica, arrived Kaohsiung 23.12.1969 for demolition. Not a bad record earned her crust for 25 yrs, ok for a wartime built vessel.
Welcome Ivor enjoy the trip on here.
