Iam new on this site , and I wanted to introduce me :

My name is Joachim K. , I started 1962 with my sea-career , and Iam still going strong . the last 20 years as master on freighters all over the world , but since 1999 as master on a ferry in the "Kiel-Kanal" ( Family reasons ) . 18 months to go and then I'll retire , perhaps I'll later on make some short trips . My special interests are freighters , built between 1950 and 1970 , I call them real ships , because I have sailed on them .
