This week I found a long lost packet of photographs from my Bank Line apprenticship days in the 50's. Many of the pictures were yellow with age and that colour came through although I scanned in black and white. The answer was to scan in colour and then convert to B&W in Photoshop to get the pictures looking as they should. Brings back memories!
I found a lot of the negatives, too, so will have a play with them in the next day or two and hope for better results than scanning contact prints.

The photographs have scanned very well and some are in the gallery. The camera that I had then was a Kodak Autographic No1 made about 1915 that my father had before the war. I doubt that my present, much more sophisticated, kit would produce much better results.
