Hi everyone, I am called Ish. I served my apprenticeship at Cleland shipyard which was on the Tyne.
I first went to sea with Stag Line, and then CP Ships, on various bulk ships up the V.L.C.C. until Barbour shipping took them over.
I then went with Gardline Surveys, until cheap foreign labour took over the crewing.
I am now sailing on a stand by ship in the NorthSea.
I haave enjoyed my working life at sea which pleases my wife, because I am not under her feet all of the time(*)
