Just saw this forum mentioned on 'World Naval Ships Forums'. So I thought that I'd stop by and say 'Hi'! :)
I had what came to be a very short career as a cooks apprentice in the Danish merchant navy - East Asiatic Company - from 1979 to 1982. Starting on tall ship 'Danmark'. And had berth on among others 'Selandia', 'Meonia' and 'Fionia'
Had a lovely time, but my future was not at sea :)
