Anyone have any info on this one, its seem to have vanished i have the ships crest given to me by crew member in the late 80's any info would be greatful thanks Ed

HMS WILTON, Minehunter, built Vosper Thorneycroft 1972, payed off 1994, sold 2001, towed to Southampton for conversion as yacht club for Leigh on Sea or River Orwell.

that looks like a brilliant conversion any idea how much it would have cost for the ship and for the conversion(really curious) cheers bobby

Small correction, Leigh on Sea is on the River Thames just upriver from Southend (easy walking distance from Southend sea front).

Sorry for the confusion, the extract should have read:
Leigh on Sea OR River Orwell.
No info on the conversion cost.
